Ingredients

Feelgood products are packed with active, natural ingredients to treat and nourish your skin, as well as stimulate your senses. Here’s a list of the main ingredients we have in our products, and an explanation of how they can really benefit you.

Lavender:

The health benefits of lavender oil for the skin can be attributed to its antiseptic and antifungal properties. It is used to treat various skin disorders such as acne, wrinkles, psoriasis, and other inflammations. It heals wounds, cuts, burns, and sunburns rapidly as it aids in the formation of scar tissue. Lavender oil is added to chamomile to treat eczema.

Monoi De Tahiti:

The secret natural blend of Monoi de Tahiti oil creates a rich emollient moisturiser that penetrates quickly into the skin, rehydrates and forms a protective barrier to guard against wrinkle formation. Monoi de Tahiti oil is good for all skin types (though it may not always be suitable for oily skin), but it is especially beneficial for individuals who suffer from dry, itchy skin and wrinkles.

Siberian Ginseng:

It is a skin-tightening ingredient that can help to physically ‘lift’ sagging skin, reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. The use of Siberian ginseng extract is totally safe and non-invasive.

Co-Q10:

What can CoQ10 do for your skin? Theoretically speaking, CoQ10 (in a skin cream, for example) can be helpful. In most people over thirty, levels of CoQ10 in the skin are below optimum, resulting in reduced ability to produce collagen, elastin and other important skin molecules. Besides, CoQ10-depleted skin may be more prone to damage by free radicals, which are particularly abundant in the skin when it is exposed to the elements. Thus, CoQ10 may boost skin repair and regeneration and reduce free radical damage. Furthermore, CoQ10 is a small molecule that can relatively easily penetrate into skin cells.

Spearmint:

When your mind is tired and in need of stimulation and uplifting, then spearmint oil is the one for you, and although it has very many properties in common to that of peppermint oil, it contains only small amounts of menthol and is far less harsh on the skin and ideal for use in children.

Emu Oil:

Anti-bacterial, low-irritant, anti-inflammatory, non-comedogenic (will not clog pores), enhances growth of skin, stimulates hair follicles to proliferate and grow.

Chamomile:

Creams and astringent toners containing chamomile calm irritating redness and itching, and deeply cleanse skin pores. Its antiseptic qualities destroy bacteria, and one of the plant’s ingredients, anodyne, relieves pain. The herb’s vasoconstrictive abilities aid the narrowing and healing of unsightly facial capillaries. Chamomile face cleansers and toners deep clean, soften, and balance skin and also prevent inflammation and skin irritation from cosmetics.

Rosehip:

Scars, including acne scars and old scars, dry eczema, skin burns, including sunburn, rehydrates dry skin, repairs damaged skin cells, reduces wrinkles; and benefits dry, mature, and ageing skin.

Sandalwood:

Sandalwood oil soothes skin, relieves it from inflammations and irritations, cures infections, and keeps it fresh and cool. It also helps fading away of scars, spots etc. It has long been been used in skin-pack pastes.

Hyaluronic Acid:

The benefits of this are becoming increasingly well known as an effective treatment in the skin care industry for anti-ageing. Hyaluronic acid (HA), occurs naturally in the body. One of the principle characteristics of HA is its ability to retain water, which contributes significantly to the skin maintaining a youthful appearance. Like many other essential factors, the levels of HA in the body decrease with each passing year. As the levels of hyaluronic decrease it adversely impacts the skin’s ability to retain moisture, thus leading to those inevitable wrinkles.

Calendula oil:

Calendula essential oil is a soothing therapeutic oil distilled from pot marigold. Its uses are varied, from soothing minor skin disorders like pimples and dry chapped lips, to curing snakebites. Calendula’s medicinal properties have been explored for centuries. It was discovered that a great deal of calendula’s effectiveness lies in its antioxidant properties. As an antioxidant, calendula extracts protect the body from damage caused by an immuno-suppressing function called oxidation. Calendula essential oil has been proven to aid wound-healing.

Melissa Essential Oil:

Melissa (lemon balm) has long been known to greatly reduce negative feelings and provides a sense of release and emotional closure while strengthening and revitalising the spirit. Melissa essential oil would also make a wonderful addition to any unscented skin care product because of its healing skincare properties

Sea Buckthorn:

This oil is popular in the beauty industry, particularly in anti-ageing treatments because of its ability to restore, nourish and rejuvenate the skin. Sea buckthorn oil has been used in Russia by cosmonauts to protect against radiation burns, as the oil is able to absorb ultraviolet rays. The scientific name means “shiny horse” and horses given sea buckthorn oil as a supplement have marked improvement in health and appearance, including stimulated hair growth.

Sea buckthorn oil is extremely rich in antioxidants and vitamins A, E and C, as well as amino acids.

Dead Sea Mud:

Dead Sea Minerals present in the mud provide relief for dry or irritated scalps and leave hair naturally moisturised, fuller and more manageable. Formulas based on Dead Sea Mud bring relief from the symptoms of seborrhea dermatitis, psoriasis and other scalp-related problems such as dandruff.

Panthenol (proVitaminB5):

Binds water in the outer skin layer. Penetrates the skin and the top layer of nails, follicles and hair. Creates a protective film and makes hair soft and easy to handle.

Panthenol is a non-irriating form of Vitamin B that is usually derived from plants. When this natural, hydrating vitamin is applied externally, it penetrates into lower skin layers, gets absorbed into your skin cells and turns into pantothenic acid (commonly known as Vitamin B5). Because panthenol is absorbed deeply into the skin, it adds essential moisture and has a desirable plumping effect.

Comfrey Gycol Extract:

Plants like comfrey, which have high carbohydrate content, are considered to rejuvenate the skin and to have healing, soothing and moisture retaining properties. They are good for rough, damaged skin and can, with time, alleviate wrinkling and enable skin tissue to regain its youthful elasticity.

Comfrey is a special beauty herb due to the high content of the phytochemical allantoin, which promotes skin cell regeneration, stimulates the growth of new cells and helps sensitive skin to become more resilient, counteracting dryness and cracking.

Used for treating: tissue damage, bone infections, gout, inflammations, sprains, tendonitis, aches and pains, haemorrhages, post-operative wounds, sores which do not heal, eczema, psoriasis, varicose ulcers, boils, and varicose veins.

German Blue Chamomile:

This essential oil has a calming effect on the mind and body and is excellent in treating any type of inflammation – be that internal or external – and is very effective on urinary stones (bladder gravel) as well. It stimulates the liver and gall bladder, thereby improving digestion and is valuable in treating menstrual and menopausal problems.

On the skin, it is a miracle worker and calms red, dry and irritated skin, as well as calming allergies, eczema, psoriasis and all other flaky skin problems. It is high in a-bisabolol which promotes granulation (healing) and is also a great tissue regenerator.

Helichrysum:

Useful for wounds and scar tissue, whether from a recent wound, operation, or tissue that has been scarred for years. It stops bleeding, helps a scab to form and tissue to repair itself. It can be added to a carrier oil and applied to stretch marks, acne scars, surgical scars, and wounds of all kinds.

Helichrysum is also very effective for joint pain associated with rheumatoid arthritis. It is anti-inflammatory with pain-reducing and analgesic effects. Use in a massage oil with other pain-relieving oils like lavender and yarrow which is also anti-inflammatory.

Hazelnut oil:

Hazelnut oil provides numerous health benefits for which it is being increasingly preferred in the preparation of carrier oil blends. The best part about using this carrier oil is that, it does not leave an oily feel behind. The oil is also known to efficiently play the role of an astringent. For acne-prone skin, it is of the utmost importance.

Smooth over cleansed skin once or twice daily and your skin will love you for it!

Neroli:

On the skin, neroli oil can help to regenerate skin cells and is a rejuvenating oil useful for the prevention of ugly scar tissue. It can also promote a smoother skin, fighting stretch marks and broken capillaries.

Jojoba:

Jojoba oil helps promote healing of the skin in many ways. It has antimicrobial properties, which means it actually discourages the growth of some bacterial and fungal microbes that attack the skin. In addition, the chemical composition of jojoba closely resembles that of the skin’s natural sebum, so it is easily absorbed and rarely causes allergic reactions, even in the most sensitive individuals.
